Recognitions

I was very lucky early on in my doll evolution to win first prize at the Pygmalion Society's 2011 London bjd Fairytales convention for best dressed doll.
'Rose', my sad-faced, Doll in Mind Luria, did me proud as The Little Match Girl, winning me another bjd for my growing collection; a Lumedoll Moon Io (who has since been named 'Lockhart' thanks to the winning entry of one of my own competitions for a faceup).

On top of which I won the photography prize at the same event for a picture of 'Fidgit', my Fairyland Pukipuki Cupid2 Red Cookie. He won me a Liz Stine West Nile Charlotte bird skull mask which, as fate would have it, became indispensable to the concept for my first SD13 sized doll, 'Magpie', which is now also the running theme to my doll life and this blog Pica pica, meaning 'The Common or Eurasian Magpie' [wiki link]

And more recently, in the Summer of 2012, the UK based, 3D printing, computer game / doll company, Makielab, used one of the doll heads I painted as a promotional business card and webvert. I think that counts as a recognition too.

The latest occurrence is a sort-of recognition. At least I think it is. I'm not 100% sure. I think it might be a recognition based on some kind of algorithm. Or something.
Either way I posted a staged picture of my recently acquired Unoa... the first Flickr picture before customising her to how I want and blow me, if it doesn't get picked for the Flickr Explore page!
That's never happened before!!
So however it occurs (even if Anja is still having an influence over one of her lovely dolls) it's a recognition.
